Knowing the tool shortcuts may seem silly, but when you learn Photoshop shortcuts, your life becomes much, much, much, much easier! Because in Photoshop, it's not dynamic to have to search for tools while working on your project. Selecting tools can be very time-consuming, so it's always important to learn how to use shortcuts to streamline your process.
So, I'll give you some essential shortcuts here, and through the descriptions, you can download a file with all the shortcuts. In the video, I'll introduce you to the fundamentals, which are the ones you need to learn. These are hard to avoid, and it's very important that you learn them so you don't struggle in Photoshop.
So, let's get started. The first shortcut is the "mouse wheel" shortcut, which moves up and down in our file. If you hold down the alt key on your keyboard and scroll with the mouse, it zooms in on the image we're working on.
The "freehand" Z key allows you to zoom, or you can also zoom by pressing control and space.
All options work. Either Z, or control + space on your keyboard, and the mouse wheel allow you to zoom. Another thing we need to learn is to frame our image more dynamically. So, if you press control + zero on your keyboard, the image will adjust to the size of your monitor. If you press control + 1, the image will be at its actual size. You can see this and other shortcuts in the video.
