Radical feminists loath sexual freedom: the most devout hate all sex. Since attacking sex itself is fruitless, they instead attack the easiest targets: they campaign to censor pornography, criminalise prostitution or stigmatise casual sex. Their arguments are old and discredited, but this doesn't prevent them from using them over and over again. Recently, the journalist Louise Perry wrote a New Statesman article about the porn platform Only Fans that appeared to be inaccurate and poorly researched.
The article incensed many people in the adult industry, including Ariel Anderssen, who makes porn and sells it on Only Fans. When Perry ignored both my and Ariel's attempts to speak with her, I decided to discuss Perry's work with Anderssen instead. We discussed how online porn has helped people come to terms with their sexualities, how Ariel discovered she was a submissive, and why radical feminists are so determined to attack sexual freedom.
