Beyond: Two Souls - Exclusive Demo - Perfect Quality - Part 3 - PlayStation 3 - HD
Beyond: Two Souls is an upcoming psychological/spiritual/thriller video game for the PlayStation 3 console and is under development by Quantic Dream. It is set for release on October 8, 2013.
Quantic Dream CEO David Cage announced the title at Sony's press conference during the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2012. A debut trailer featuring in-game graphics was released during the press conference. The previous game from Quantic Dream Heavy Rain, supported the PlayStation Move technology, and it is rumored that Beyond: Two Souls will also be PlayStation Move compatible. Actress Ellen Page noted that the script for the game is around 2000 pages long.
It will be the final piece of composer Normand Corbeil, who died of pancreatic cancer on January 25, 2013.
Jodie Holmes: Jodie is the main character, and will be portrayed by Ellen Page via motion capture.
Aiden: Aiden is a supernatural entity that has been linked to Jodie since a young age. Not much is known about Aiden, other than that Jodie is the only person able to communicate with it.
Nathan Dawkins: A government scientist who works with Jodie to analyse her powers, and acts as a surrogate father to her throughout the game. Portrayed by Willem Dafoe via motion capture.
The game is centered around questions about what happens after death. The game lets the player take Jodie Holmes through 15 (8-23) years of her life on a journey to discover the true meaning of the entity, Aiden, alongside her throughout the story. The game's producer noted that players might be able to find out "what lies beyond" after playing the game.
