This is our Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus Gaming Test. Watch it and let us know what you think.
Alright, we got the s10 plus, it has the latest and greatest processor, one of the best camera, and has a top-notch software. And we for sure know it can definitely run everything you throw at it. Apps are not what we are talking about here, we’re talking about demanding games with highest quality graphics. Things that can really make this thing sweat, well at least try to. So in this video we are gonna run 4 games that are really demanding, play each games for at least 15 mins, and we’ll note down the battery drop after each game.
At the start the phone has 100% battery and we haven’t made any tweaks to the system performance. We’ve got some usual social media apps like Instagram, facebook, messenger, snapchat pre-installed and we also have games like PUBG mobile, Asphalt 9,Moile Legends, Dead Trigger 2, Modern Combat 5 and Sim city. However, we’ll only play 4 games for this test.
Before we jump into games and benchmarks lets get the full run down on its hardware. So. The version we are using has Exynos 9820 Chipset with Octa Core Processor, Mali-G76 MP12 GPU, 12 Gigs of RAM and 128 Gigs of internal storage.
Now on to the games, the first game we tested is Modern Combat 5. This is one of the best fps games with very good graphics and gameplay. Playing this game on s10 Plus is absolute joy. The performance is as you would expect, smooth and fluid. Plus, the big and vibrant 6.4 inch display on s10 Plus gives you really amazing visuals along with the improved audio. The stereo audio also adds to the overall experience of gameplay on the s10 Plus.
WE played Modern Combat 5 for exactly 16 mins and 45 seconds. The battery was down to 93% from 100%. The overall gameplay experience was amazing but I did feel the device heat up. The heat was tolerable though.
Alright after some modern combat 5 we moved on to the popular PUBG Mobile. PUBG mobile has been one of the demanding and popular game at the same time. The exciting battle royale really gets you stuck on your phone with your friends for hours. Well we jumped unto the Greenland erangel and lasted for exactly 16 minutes and 11 seconds. We were playing this game at HDR quality with high frame rate option turned on. The game runs silky smooth with zero lags and stutters. And the sound from stereo speaker really helps you while playing PUBG, you can detect your enemies with the sound even without a earphone.
So after playing PUBG we were left with 87% battery. Battery saw a dip of 6% after playing PUBG. Well, I felt the device heat up slightly while playing PUBG. And it was slightly uncomfortable for a brief moment.
Now after some battle royale action we got ourselves racing with the Asphalt 9. Asphalt 9 has to be one of my favorite games. Not just for the gameplay and graphics alone but the selection of soundtrack, it’s really awesome. The game along with the sound and music really gets you going with the flow. And with the audio quality of s10 plus I was really enjoying the racing with those awesome soundtracks. We played asphalt 9 on highest setting and the game was running super smooth without any issues, well this was never going to be an issue.
We played Asphalt 9 for more than 17 mins and we saw battery drop from 87% to 80%. And talking about heating, the device was not as warm as before. It was pretty comfortable.
Now, to conclude our test. We played Mobile legends. On my ranking this games has to be on top 3 for most demanding game, especially while on open world menu. The game really demands resources. Well, it’s a easy lift for s10 plus though. No lags, no hiccups. The game is smooth and the heating was not excessive. Afer 15 minutes of mobile legends we were down to 74% battery.
So, this gaming test saw us game on the s10 plus for more than an hour. And we were left with 74% battery at the end of the test. So, yes you can definitely game on s10 plus for more than 3-4 hours it seems. The heating was not a significant problem except when I was playing PUBG mobile, that’s the only time when I thought, oh this device is really getting warm and slightly concerned but it was okay at the end I guess.
