Getting Data into Cloud EPM – Data Management Basics in 50 Minutes or Less!
How do financial balances get from your ERP system into FCC or planning or ARC? You’ve probably heard about “data management” and maybe you’ve heard it described as an ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) too, but as an end user you may not be quite sure how it works. This presentation will give you a short overview of data management to understand how data gets from a file into your application, including coverage of data management components like data files, target application definitions, import formats, locations, data load mappings, data load rules, data load workbench, etc. We’ll also take a quick look at the newer “data exchange” interface for data management, which is available as a desktop card in FCC and planning.
