The deadline for SOD Capital, the company interested in buying the construction potential of São Januário, enters its final month this Wednesday. In September, Vasco had renewed the deadline for the management company to exercise its purchase option until December 12th and remains optimistic about sealing the deal that will enable the revitalization of the stadium.
The completion of the deal hinges on finalizing the purchase of the land where SOD Capital will make the investment using the construction potential of São Januário.
The news outlet ge confirmed that the company maintains frequent conversations with the club and remains firm in its position that it will exercise its intention to purchase the property by the end of the stipulated deadline.
The company indicated that it will exercise the purchase option for an amount exceeding R$ 500 million,
which was the amount sought by the club at the beginning of negotiations.
In total, Vasco has 280,000 m² available for the sale of construction potential.
In early October, Vasco and the Rio de Janeiro City Hall signed a definitive agreement for the transfer of the construction potential of São Januário.
With this document, the club holds formal authorization for Vasco to commercialize the construction potential of the stadium.
