In this session, we introduce SAP CAPM (Cloud Application Programming Model) and explain why it is a game-changer for SAP Fiori developers moving to SAP BTP.
We start by understanding the traditional SAP UI5 / Fiori development model, where frontend and backend were handled by separate UI5 and ABAP teams. We then explain how CAPM enables a single developer to build both frontend and backend, making you a full-stack SAP BTP developer.
As part of the hands-on activity, we also create an SAP BTP (HANA on Demand) account and get familiar with the BTP cockpit, which will be used throughout this course.
