Free VST DamyFX Doctor Crunch Plus
In this video I take a look at DamyFX free Doctor Crunch Plus combo amp sim.
Doctor Crunch Plus draws inspiration from a Marshall dirty channel.
There are many amp sim plugins around inspired by Marshall amps, but Doctor Crunch Plus stands out for a few reasons. It comes complete with dirty channel preamp, power amp, and also a cab sim (developer doesn't mention it, can it be a 2x12?). Controls are very straightforward: you have knobs for Drive, Eq section (bass, middle, treble and presence), Power Amp level, and Volume. Besides these, the amp sim has selector switches for Crunch/+ Gain, and Cabinet on/off.
With Doctor Crunch Plus, you have everything you need so you can focus on dialling the tone you want and start playing, it sounds excellent and is completely free!
