Russian propaganda is bending over backwards to convince its citizens that America is almost in a state of war, while in Russia everything is stable and calm.
I spent the last few days in Washington, watching the preparations for Biden's inauguration and possible armed protests. In the end, the transfer of power was peaceful, Trump himself wished the new administration good luck, and he called on his supporters to be at peace.
America will be fine, no matter what new trials it has to go through.
I have no such confidence in Russia. Russia worries me much more than America - especially now that Alexei Navalny has been arrested and his life is in danger again. So today, standing in front of the Capitol, I considered it my duty to speak out not about America and Biden, but about Russia and Navalny.
