Formula One, IndyCar, NASCAR — they all bring the noise and the fuel and the drama people have loved for decades. But here comes Formula E, silent, the future of racing wrapped in electric motors and city streets instead of screaming engines and old-school circuits.

However, what's actually the point of Formula E? It promised to make electric cars cool and fast when nobody believed in them, it dragged big names like Audi, BMW, Mercedes and Jaguar into the game. But what actually happened when the racing began?

From the early days of drivers swapping cars mid-race because the batteries couldn’t handle a full distance, to the chaos of FanBoost and Attack Mode turning racing into real-life Mario Kart, Formula E has done everything to stand out and prove electric racing can be just as wild as Formula One or NASCAR.

All of that being said, what are the real numbers behind the viewership, why manufacturers came in like a gold rush and then bailed just as fast, and has this whole experiment has actually made electric cars better for the road?

Today, we'll find all of this out!
