Force Quit Applications on Windows computers (How to)
In this video we explain how to quit / exit an application on you Windows laptop or Desktop, in case it does not respond anymore for some unknown reason. This step-by-step instructions are really easy to follow.
We are using the Windows TaskManager in order to first find the application in question. Start the TaskManager by right-clicking on the taskbar at the bottom of the screen. Then we select the application. Next we press the "End Task" Botton on the bottom right of the windows.
The application should close within a couple of seconds. Sometimes it does take a little longer, so we might have to be patient.
If the application does not close after a while, we might have to restart the entire computer. Make sure to safe all you work before doing so, not to lose any important data.
