In this video, I'll begin a series of 5 episodes on speeding up macro execution in Excel VBA. We'll start with the Calculation property of the Application object (Application.Calculation).
We'll write a sample procedure that will loop through values and then determine the appropriate groups based on them. This macro will be used to demonstrate how to significantly speed up our code using the method mentioned above. Therefore, I'll create a Timer function, which I'll assign to two variables (input and output) so that I can then use the MsgBox to find out how long a given macro took.
