This is a presentation of Chapter 1 of the "Introduction to Python & Programming" book that accompanies the coding course in the Bachelor program at WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management in Germany in the spring semester 2020.

In this video, I talk about:
What code looks like in general and what the flow of execution is
What a data type is and how everything in Python is an object of a certain type
How Python manages the computer's memory for us
How formal (programming) languages adhere to a syntax
Three broad kinds of errors code may exhibit
How all variables in Python are really just references to objects
How some objects may be mutated while others may not
The difference between expressions and statements
