This video explains how to run Linux Mint on an Apple Silicon using a completely ported Linux Mint for arm64. From the ISO in the GRUB menu, it is possible to install Linux Mint on a virtual drive and boot from it. We will install using the Live-installer. The advantage of this port over the official x86-64 version as produced by the Linux Mint team is, that this port runs a whole lot faster on Apple Silicon as it is virtualized (using the same processor, as opposed to emulated). We use UTM as Virtual Machine on a Mac Mini M1.
