In this video, we'll dive deep into creating a cinematic cutscene in Unreal Engine 5.6! We'll learn how to work with the Sequencer editor, set up a Cine Camera (adjusting focal length and depth of field), and animate character movement using keyframes.
We'll also cover the nuances of using skeletal meshes in Sequencer: removing the Control Rig to play pre-made walk and idle animations, and adjusting animation playback speed (Play Rate). Finally, I'll show you two ways to trigger your cutscene in-game: automatically at the level start, and dynamically—when the player overlaps a Trigger Box using the Level Blueprint.
