Formula 1 is protected by what's called a super license.

Racing has a lot to do with funds.
If you had 40 crores lying around, some basic driver requirements could allow you to compete in Formula 2. It's a junior series just one step below Formula 1.
A super license is what's stopping just anybody with funds from stepping into Formula 1.
First you need to tick all these boxes. (Add a list of all the different points) Next, you need to collect what's called super points.
Championships offer super points based on where you finish in the season.
Here's a list for various championships and the points you'd
get.
You need 40 super points in just 3 years.
If you collect 10 points each in year 1, year 2, and year 3, at the beginning of year 4, you lose the first year's points. And so you'll need to collect those points again.
Once you collect 40 points, you attain a super license, and you're eligible to race in F1.
But there isn't any guarantee that you'd get a seat.
If more than 3 seasons pass without you being part of F1, you will lose your super license.
Felipe Drugovich won the F2 title in 2022, giving him enough super points.
But he's still not in F1, and if he fails to get a drive in 2025, he may lose his Superlicense.
