2009 I30, weird noise coming from front wheel bearings
Had a client visit today, expressing concern about a noise from the front end, found a warped disc rotor, machined both fronts, didn't fix this issue, on rolling back and forth by hand slowly, head the weird noise in video. Symptoms when driving, when cornering to the right and slowing down in a straight line, made a swooshing sound like a dry seal, no grinding typical of bearing sound. On acceleration, the noise is gone.
Just a heads up, confirming the wheel bearing had failed,. upon replacement, noise corrected. Once i undid the cv nut, the hub bearing fell apart and loads of rust powder oozed out. Water entry destroyed it. Thanks for watching guys.
