Apple just released a new free App called Invites that is exactly what you think it is. What make it different is that it integrates with Apple’s ecosystem and services like Image Playground to create cleanly crafted Invites with Apple’s polish and ease of use. It's cross platform and friends on Android can receive the invites too. I’m definitely going to use it.
