================Some text===================
I spent 50 days making a horror game using AI — from textures and 3D models to sounds, animations, and code. Then I gave the game to my friend, pretended I made it myself, and waited to see if he would notice that the game was actually AI-generated.
In this video, I show the entire process of AI game development and why it’s not as fast or easy as people think. You’ll see how I used ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and other AI tools to build a playable horror escape game in Godot, complete with quests, keys, a timer, and a monster that hunts the player.
I also talk about optimization problems, broken AI code, huge 3D models, lighting struggles, and how combining scenes nearly killed my PC. After more than a month of work and missing the deadline by 47 days, the game was finally playable.
At the end, I let my friend play the game without telling him it was made with AI and watched his reaction. The video explores whether AI can really replace human game developers or if it’s still better to use traditional assets and workflows.
You can download and play the game yourself on itch.io — the link is in the description. Just keep in mind that the game isn’t fully optimized and may still contain bugs.
