Display Green Tint and Amoled Burn-in Problem on Xiaomi Mi9.
I have used my trusty Xiaomi Mi 9 For more than 4 years every day and the AMOLED display shows green tint in a corner.
Amoled, Super Amoled, Oled or even Qled are susceptible to Amoled burn-in too.
To check if you have the same Amoled green tint problem, find a yellow color image with solid yellow.
Reduce the display brightness to minimum, medium or maximum.
Also pull down the notification menu as seen in the video and you will notice the green tint issue more easily.
My Amoled display was showing the green ting in the top right corner where the battery indicator is.
When I was using the phone daily, the green ting problem was becoming more and more visible.
I started using my precious Xperia 1 V and had the Xiaomi phone with green tint display turned off sitting in a drawer.
After a week of no use, the green ting on the Amoled display is a lot less noticeable so a solution to the green tint problem is not to use the phone for a few days or use the green tint phone as a backup phone.
Backup your files, photos and videos from any phone that shows hardware problems like the Amoled green tint or Amoled burn-in.
You can see the Amoled burn-in effect more easily on the battery icon.
When the battery indicator is present and especially once it's not displayed, you notice that there is still a grey or brown image left on the display with the same shape as the battery indicator.
That shows because Amoled, showing the same picture for a long time has a memory effect that eventually becomes permanent. It's one of the reasons screen savers with moving images exist such as the famous DVD icon bouncing on the screen.
The Amoled burn-in is not dangerous but it shows the display has a lot of screen-on hours.
