This was an unusual update from Apple because it was so urgent. Apparently they found a security flaw that allowed hackers to eavesdrop and get your personal info.
If you had your automatic update setting turned on you probably noticed that this one didn't update automatically. You actually have to update it yourself. It's easy to do, just unusual.
