If you care about performance, you don't want your leash dragging in the water. That's where the waist belt leash comes in. The 8mm thick coil is stiffer than most coil leashes and can handle small waves but any coil leash will loosen if repeatedly stretched out in big waves, so coil leashes are not recommended for regular use in surf. The velcro waist belt is detachable and it's possible to combine the belt with a straight leash for use in surf. The belt is designed to be used for the board but can also be connected to the wing. For wing foiling we don't recommend using coil leashes for both the board and the wing as they can get tangled up.
One size fits most is adjustable from 28" to 43" waist size
