PICASSO Update October 10, 2020 (Beginning CBD Oil Protocol)
PICASSO, the epileptic seizure pony, is now being treated with CBD. This is the next part of his story.
On October 8, 2020, Picasso began a protocol of CBD oil to try to further help control or perhaps eliminate his seizures. He has been well controlled on Gabapentin, however, he still can experience some breakthrough events.
Bluegrass Hemp Oil, with a partner, Bill Polyniak, are helping to address the benefits of CBD oil for horses. As they are based right here in the Bluegrass, it seems appropriate to reach out to hep our equine population. As Bill was an original grower in the state and country, and as his own son has epilepsy, his guidance has been key to moving this horse forward with a hope that CBD might eliminate his seizures, as it has for his son and many others.
