The Failure Of Super GT x DTM
For years, Germany's DTM and Japan's Super GT worked on a joint technical regulation to form the "dream touring car" aka Class One. A champions league car spec for touring cars. BMW, Nissan, Audi, Honda, Mercedes and Lexus were all aboard at first. Teams from DTM and Super GT should have been able to run their cars in their respective sister series on the other side of the globe. Even a joint-winter series was planned. But struggles along the way and missing effort to get this project over the line led to the collapse of Class One and DTM. This video dives deeper into the story of Super GT's and DTM's effort to create the perfect touring car, only to fail in the process.
