Kill Signals! (Linux+ Objective 1.4.3)
In order to communicate with a running program in Linux, we use the "kill" command. That might seem harsh, but "kill" is the most common signal we send to a running program, so that's the name of the tool.
There are MANY signals we can send with the kill command, however, and even several types of kill-related signals! In this video we learn all about SIGTERM, SIGHUP, SIGKILL, and some of the tools to deal with PIDs of running systems. Whether you're getting certified or not, this should be helpful for any Linux administrator.
