One of the most striking changes is the even more prominent radiator grille, which is around 20 per cent larger than before. It now features four horizontal chrome bars instead of three, creating a particularly distinguished and status-enhancing appearance. For the first time in the history of the S‑Class, the grille is also illuminated. Tiny, hot-stamped stars in a chrome finish lend it a three-dimensional depth effect. For the first time, the standard upright Mercedes star on the bonnet can be illuminated as an optional feature. A high-gloss black insert visually links the headlamps and radiator grille as a single unit. With a new twin-star headlamp design, the S‑Class boasts a distinctive look by day and night.

Innovative micro-LED technology and a powerful new chip expand the high-resolution illumination field by approximately 40 per cent, delivering brighter high beams while reducing energy consumption, when compared with the predecessor system. Dynamic ULTRA RANGE high beam – with a reach of up to 600 metres, roughly six soccer fields – now swivels for optimal coverage, while its partial high-beam function improves detection of poorly lit road users without dazzling others. Combined with camera data and map intelligence, cornering light adapts more precisely to road layouts.
Another innovation is the optional integrated light projector in the side sills, which casts Mercedes‑Benz lettering onto the ground to welcome and bid farewell.
With sharpened design, particularly in the front and rear, and innovative technologies, Audi is ensuring the increased presence and sporty elegance of the A8, the trailblazer in the premium segment.
The Audi A8 is a sedan that represents status and exudes authority, confident, and athletic. The base wide Singleframe grill and chrome angles that increase in size from bottom to top adorn its grid. The side air intakes are more upright and just as freshly styled as the headlights, whose lower edge on the outside creates a distinctive contour. To summarize, the newly designed and precisely orchestrated design elements in the front area significantly increase the A8’s presence and authority and sharpen the profile of the brand’s top model.
The look is even more defined with the additional black appearance package.
Comparable with video projectors, the Digital Matrix LED headlights use DMD (digital micromirror device) technology. Each headlight has approximately 1.3 million micromirrors that break down the light into tiny pixels. This allows it to be controlled with maximum precision.One new function is lane and orientation lights for highways. The digital Matrix LED headlights can generate dynamic coming home/leaving home functions upon unlocking and getting out of the car. They shine like projections on the ground or a wall.
The rear has also been reimagined: new taillights with three chrome-framed stars reinforce the model and brand image. The two-part trim strip on the boot lid, now finished in chrome and high-gloss black, is a testament to Mercedes‑Benz’s legendary attention to detail and provides a delicate finishing touch to the extensive exterior update.
The rear is dominated by wide chrome clasps, a customizable taillight signature with digital OLEDs, and a continuous, segmented light strip. The diffusor insert in the bumper is delicately accentuated and redesigned with horizontal bars.
In conjunction with the assistance systems, the digital OLED rear lights have a proximity indication feature: if other road users approach the stationary A8 from behind to within two meters, all of the OLED segments are activated automatically.
The new S‑Class offers further wheel choices, including a new 19-inch Mercedes‑Benz design, a 20-inch AMG Line wheel in several colour finishes and a new 21-inch AMG Line wheel colour option, giving customers even more freedom to tailor the car’s appearance.
