In this epic Kashmir cycling adventure, we take on an 85 km journey one way (170 km round trip) from Srinagar to the breathtaking Thajiwas Glacier. With an elevation gain of approximately 2,000 feet, changing mountain weather, steep climbs, and endless roads through the Himalayas, this challenge tested both our physical endurance and mental strength.
The route takes us through some of Kashmir's most spectacular landscapes, including lush valleys, roaring rivers, alpine meadows, and snow-covered mountain peaks. Located near Sonamarg, Thajiwas Glacier is one of the most accessible glaciers in Kashmir and remains covered in snow for much of the year, attracting travelers from around the world.
This wasn't just a cycling trip—it was a test of discipline, resilience, and determination. From the early morning departure in Srinagar to reaching the glacier and attempting the return journey before dark, every kilometer brought new challenges and unforgettable views.
