Zabbix Course. 7. Using Zabbix Java Gateway
Configuring and testing the JMX interface for monitoring Java MBeans and their attributes
1. We familiarized ourselves with the JMX interface provided by Zabbix Java Gateway to Java applications (MBeans).
2. We configured monitoring of the attributes of a test JMX application.
3. We configured and analyzed the obtained results of low-level discovery of JMX interface objects and their attributes.
4. We noted that Java Gateway has the necessary and sufficient set of tools for discovering and monitoring Java JMX objects and their attributes. However, the Zabbix platform does not support operations for changing the values of these attributes, which seems quite logical and justified.
