balena etcher makes flashing SD cards super-easy. Here's a quick video anyway :-)
The image used in this video is called ControlPi. ControlPi is based on Rasbian Stretch Lite with the following features pre-configured:
Headless or No Desktop installed to save resources.
Read-Only default file system to make the RaspberryPi more reliable against unexpected reboots.
ControlPi Config to adjust basic settings without memorizing console commands.
NodeRED for custom programming.
NodeRED Dashboard for custom user interfaces.
RPI.GPIO to interface NodeRED with the GPIO pins.
LIRC to interface NodeRED with infra-red signals of commonly used remote controls.
