How to Export Files with a Scheduled task | Sellercloud Tutorial
Find out how to export with a Scheduled task in Sellercloud.
Scheduled tasks allow you to automate certain tasks and set them to recur at specific intervals. This can include tasks such as importing information, generating picklists, and exporting information.
You can schedule export tasks for orders, products, purchase orders, RMA, FBA shipments, inventory per parent SKU, and warehouse bin movement.
Here’s how to create an Export task:
► Go to the Scheduled Tasks section.
► Press the green plus icon at the bottom right corner to Create New Scheduled Task
► Choose the Task Type and fill in the appropriate info
► Open a new task and enter a note if necessary
► Set the frequency and email alerts
► Then, select the correct export plugin from the Export via dropdown. Alternatively, you can select from an export mapping tool profile
► Next, enter the filename of the inventory file you are exporting. You can use placeholders such as #?QueuedJobID?# and {year}{month}{date} to populate the filename with the queued job ID and the date of file creation
► Choose to export to FTP or Email
► If exporting to FTP, enter the FTP credentials and specify the remote folder for the file.
► If exporting to email, enter the SMTP credentials and enable Passive Mode if the connection cannot be made due to firewalls on your server
► Please note that scheduling Export Orders requires special consideration. In Export Orders, users can enter additional information regarding Tracking, Invoice, and Dropship Export, among others.
► If the file does not import or export and shows one of the error messages, such as "There is no file on FTP matching criteria to process," make sure to add the forward slash before the directory name and retry.
Here’s how to schedule a picklist generate:
► Select PickList Generate as the Task Type and fill in the appropriate information
► Select a Saved Search and then User ID under which the saved search is going to be.
► It's important to note that picklists are generated for specific orders, such as current orders that have not been shipped. So, to schedule a picklist for those orders, you'll need to link a Saved Search to this picklist generation.
► After you have your Saved Search for unshipped orders, you can choose that search from the Saved Search dropdown, and a picklist will be generated only for those orders
