Super Simple Guide to enter Nespresso Vertuo Pop Descaling mode:
Unlock the lid - hold the button a few seconds until it blinks - lock and unlock the lid - hold the button again - lock the lid.
Simple Instructions:
1. Fill the water reservoir with 500ml water and a pack of descaler. I used Delonghi EcoDecalk with a 1:10 ratio.
2. Turn on and heat up the machine.
3. Ensure there's no capsule inside.
4. Unlock the lid. Press and hold the button for 7 seconds until it blinks orange rapidly.
5. Lock and unlock the lid.
6. Press and hold the button for another 7 seconds until it blinks again.
7. Lock the lid (you're now in descaling mode).
8. Press the button to start descaling. It takes about 5 minutes.
9. Once it stops, clean the water tank and fill it with fresh water.
10. Press the button again to start the rinsing cycle. This takes another 5 minutes.
11. When finished, the light will turn steady white.
