Touring George Hearst's Homestake Gold Mine
The Homestake Gold Mine in Lead, SD, founded by George Hearst, is being converted first into the interim Sanford Underground Laboratory at Homestake, and finally into the Deep Underground Science and Engineering Lab (DUSEL). This video is a tour of the surface infrastructure and one below-ground level of the mine given to Deadwood's Adams Museum & House staff.
