Dive into Deep Learning - Lecture 1: PyTorch Tensor Basics, Operations, Functions, and Broadcasting
In this video, we review Section "2.1. Data Manipulation" of the "Dive into Deep Learning" textbook available at https://d2l.ai/index.html. We discuss the basics of tensors in PyTorch, which are multi-dimensional arrays of numerical values. A tensor with one axis is known as vector in mathematics and a tensor with two axes is called matrix. Here, we also discuss tensors with more than two axes. We explain shape and other properties of tensors. We also discuss the broadcasting mechanism in PyTorch.
