How to add Transitions inside DaVinci Resolve | Tutorial
Learn how to add transitions inside DaVinci Resolve. We show you how to add transitions to video clips, images, and titles inside DaVinci Resolve 16 and 17.
Adding Transitions can be difficult in DaVinci Resolve, as Resolve won't allow you to add transitions between clips if you are missing enough frames from video a and video b. In this tutorial, we show you how to add any transition between clips.
If you try to add a transition onto your timeline between 2 video clips, you get might get the warning: "Some of the clips selected have insufficient handles to apply the transition. You can choose to trim clips and shorten your timeline or skip clips with insufficient handles. What would you like to do?"
This means Resolve needs more frames to apply the transition. We will go ahead and select "Trim Clips" to allow the transition to be placed between the 2 video clips.
