Padstow May Day 2008 ('Obby 'Oss Day)
Residents of Padstow, a fishing village on the north coast of Cornwall, celebrate May Day by enacting the ancient ritual of parading an 'obby 'oss, or hobby horse, through the streets, calling at the houses of notables for suitable refreshment. Two 'osses are paraded, one red, one blue and residents dress in white with red or blue neckerchiefs or ribbons to signify which 'oss has their allegiance. This film follows the blue 'oss party
