Google is bringing AI to Gmail and Docs, and here's why I'm REALLY excited about it.
Google’s plan is to bring its generative AI models to virtually every part of Workspace. Here's how we as virtual assistants might use this in our business every day:
• Gmail: Draft, reply, summarise, and prioritise your emails
• Meet: Generate new backgrounds and capture notes in meetings
• Chat: Enable workflows for getting things done
• Docs: Brainstorm, proofread, write, and rewrite using AI
• Slides: Auto-generate images, audio, and video
• Sheets: Generate insights and analysis, automate messages to specific people in different rows
Cool news aside, these new features will only be available for what Google calls “Trusted Testers.” The company says it’ll use feedback to refine the experiences before making them available broadly.
My advice: Keep your eyes open for opportunities to use this tech early, get on a waitlist, or start getting familiar with Google Suite products NOW.
