🚗 ABOUT THE 1962 PEEL P50
The Peel P50 was manufactured by the Peel Engineering Company on the Isle of Man, United Kingdom
between 1962 and 1965. At just 54 inches (137cm) long, 39 inches wide, and weighing approximately
130 pounds (59kg), it holds the Guinness World Record as the world's smallest production car.
Powered by a 49cc DKW two-stroke single-cylinder engine producing approximately 4.2bhp,
the P50 was designed for single-occupancy urban commuting. Its top speed was approximately
38mph (61km/h) and it achieved over 100mpg. Only 27 original units are known to survive worldwide,
making restoration and preservation of these vehicles critically important.
This restoration returns one of these extraordinary machines to full running, show-ready condition
using period-correct materials, specifications, and techniques throughout.
