This is an American KamAZ killer. I think no one will argue if I say that American trucks are the most beautiful in the world. After all, when you hear the word "truck", it is not KamAZ or even European trucks that come to mind, but huge, chromed beauties with endless hoods.
Today we will talk about one of these legendary ones - Freightliner FLD.
It began to be produced in 1987, and its characteristics were simply amazing: 500 horsepower, a maximum speed of 120 km / h, and the cabin was like a small mansion on wheels. And at the same time, fuel consumption remained at the level of Soviet trucks - 40-45 liters, which is impressive, considering that it was twice as powerful.
It is not surprising that the FLD instantly became a bestseller on the American market. Drivers loved it for its reliability, comfort and huge space, in which you could cross the whole of America without feeling tired. Another strong point of the FLD was its versatility. It was produced in dozens of configurations - from classic trucks for intercity transportation to chassis for construction equipment or heavy special vehicles. Thanks to this, the model remained in production for a long time, and even after being removed from the assembly line, it is actively used in various industries, especially on American highways.
