Hello everyone. In this video, we'll see together how to region-free a European Nintendo NES. The process isn't very complicated and doesn't require any knowledge of electronics or soldering. However, you'll need to use pliers with small, thin tips. I also had to finish the job with a box cutter. If this is the case for you, you'll need to be extremely careful not to injure yourself. I also checked the final work under a microscope, but you can skip this step if you have good eyesight or a magnifying glass.
Note that this isn't just about region-freeing. Indeed, if the console is now capable of playing American games, it will also be able to play Everdrive games. Why? Because this operation deactivates the console's protection chip. It is therefore possible to use any game as long as the cartridge format fits into the console and the game is designed for the NES.
