After spending time with NixOS, I made the decision to switch back to Arch Linux. In this video, I share my honest thoughts about the NixOS experience, what worked well, what didn't work for me, and what I genuinely miss about it.
To bridge the gap, I created dcli - a declarative configuration tool that brings NixOS-like functionality to Arch Linux. I'll walk you through why I built it and how it works.
