The Waltham Field & Marine is the American trench watch which made watchmaking history in 1918 by becoming the first waterproof watch. The crown, bezel and case-back technology which made this possible was patented in 1918. This new issue uses the same technology, including a bayonet crown, to assure a 30ATM, 300m, 1000ft water-resistance.
