RetroPie: Retro CRT style video output - Overlays vs Shaders vs Default
This video looks best when set to play in 1080p.
In this guide (based on RetroPie 3 beta 2) you can setup an overlay that sits on top of the emulated game to simulate scanlines and a general CRT feel. There is a comparison between overlays, shaders and the default view shown.
