Installing Microsoft SQL Server 2022 Reporting Services.
In this video I show you how to install the Microsoft SQL Server 2022 Reporting Services. Reporting over data has become more and more mandatory, as data usage and output only grow bigger. If you are reporting or displaying query results to users a lot, you might want to consider to install this role on a separate server. After installing these services, you will see the Report Configuration Manager screen where you can arrange that. The video start from scratch from the mounted ISO which leads you to a Microsoft web page. Please note there are requirements and consult an It architect if you doubt anything. I'm installing SQL reporting here and not a Power BI report server! The installation files have to be downloaded and are not present in the SQL media. This assures you at you are getting the latest compatible version as well. I'm choosing the developer edition here, as my SQL instance installation is the same. Accept the EULA, skip or read the database engine remark and the installation starts. After completion, the Reporting Manager is opened and you can configure the rest of the settings and connections.
