Final Cut Fast - A Quick Look at Blend Modes
Blend modes combine image properties to create different results. Final Cut Pro groups blend modes into categories.
The normal blend mode is the default blend mode.
The next group is the darkening blend modes. These result in images that are darker than the original images.
The following category is the lightening blend modes. These result in images that are usually brighter than the original images.
Complex blend modes use a combination of effects based on the original image properties. These modes are designed to simulate effects of how light plays through the image.
Inversion blend modes create an effect that looks like a photographic negative of the selected layer.
Alpha channel blend modes manipulate the alpha channel or luma values to isolate portions of a clip and cropping out non-overlapping parts.
