Friends, I literally had no idea there is a death by research machine coming with The Sims 4 Discover University. The Sims 4 deaths are getting ridiculous, but funny at this point!
When your Sim has level 10 in research & debate skill and at least one other skill, they can contribute knowledge by using a research machine. They actually also earn some good money by doing that! When your Sim keeps researching a lot they get a dizzy moodlet from it. When ignoring this moodlet, they can eventually die from exhaustion from researching.
