You learned in your second week aboard the Executor that he runs three degrees colder than standard Imperial climate settings, and a shivering aide fumbles pages. You do not fumble pages. You stand outside the sealed blast doors to his private chamber at 0552, back straight, dossier in hand, listening to the machinery behind the wall breathe. Twenty-two cycles per minute.
