Welcome to Forgotten War Stories, where we dive into the lesser-known yet poignant events of World War II.
In this episode: Trimunt, May 3, 1943. Sixteen innocent civilians were brutally murdered by the German occupiers—victims of the April-May strike of 1943, in which a total of 200 civilians lost their lives. They were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Trimunt was not just any location. It was home to radar installation Löwe, a crucial part of the German defense. And here began a tragedy that must never be forgotten.
