Businessman Sergei Andronov and his housekeeper were shot dead in their apartment. Andronov's younger brother, 35-year-old Andrey, an autistic genius and mathematician, was in one of the rooms and may have seen the killer. Olga Barkovskaya, with whom Andrey communicates through mathematical formulas, is assisting the investigation. Suspects include Andrey himself, the murdered man's wife, Albina, his former friend Ilya, and the murdered housekeeper's husband.
