Creating a 3D model of the McBarge with a Mavic 3 Enterprise
Candrone recently embarked on a unique project at the McBarge, the iconic floating McDonald's from Expo 86. Using the @DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise, we created a highly detailed 3D photogrammetry model.
In our previous project, we scanned the Queen of Sidney using the geometric route feature inside FlightHub 2. However, the resolution wasn't up to our standards. This time, we opted for the slope route function, which allowed us to fly much closer to our subject, capture many more images, and achieve a higher-resolution 3D model.
Although this method requires more data collection and processing time, the results speak for themselves. The increased resolution makes a significant difference when viewing the model.
