Associate Professor Dr. Orhan Yücel emphasized that postponing the treatment of excessive sweating or sweaty hands and feet can even lead to depression. He stated that excessive sweating reduces quality of life and can negatively impact social interactions, particularly because the sweat-producing areas on the hands are limited. He emphasized that night sweats can be a symptom of another condition, and in this case, the underlying cause should be treated rather than surgical intervention. However, he stated that in cases where sweating is limited to the hands, armpits, and face, surgical treatment can provide an effective and permanent solution. He also noted that excessive sweating can also be linked to a genetic predisposition, with a 50 percent family history of the condition.
